We wanted to start our blog (and our featured causes) with a project that is celebrating its 5 years anniversary: the It Gets Better Project.

This projects started back in 2010 as a YouTube channel to inspire young people facing harassment. 2010 was a big attention call after the tragic deaths of teenagers like Tyler Clementi (18), Seth Walls (13), Asher Brown (13), or Lucas Billy (15).

After 5 years, the projects has caught the attention of millions of people worldwide, and received submissions from relevant personalities “including President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Adam Lambert, Anne Hathaway, Colin Farrell, Matthew Morrison of ‘Glee’, Joe Jonas, Joel Madden, Ke$ha, Sarah Silverman, Tim Gunn, Ellen DeGeneres, Suze Orman, the staffs of The Gap, Google, Facebook, Pixar, the Broadway community, and many more.”

You can show other young LGBTQ people that it does get better by support the It Gets Better Project.

Get involved donating, recording a video for their YouTube channel, sharing your story with them, Taking the Pledge, buying their wear and book, ordering their book for your Hometown… or all of the above!
